Omaha Ship Museum Volunteers Needed

 

If you live in the Omaha, Nebraska area and have some spare time, Freedom Park could use your help. There are two historic naval vessels at the park and while the submarine USS MARLIN SST-2 has sufficient volunteers, the Minesweeper, USS HAZARD AM-240 does not. If you can help out with maintenance, restoration, or just talking to visitors about the ship and the Navy once in a while it would be a big help to a great museum ship. The volunteer effort is under the direction of a hard working and well meaning Seabee who needs some old salts to lend a hand and turn to, destroyer style.
